Anyone buy jewelry from Overstock. I looked at thier rings, and the prices are great so I am afraid to buy from them. Being an engagement ring, I do not want to by something that is not good. I don't think you would have a problem, but even if you did you could always just send it back and get your money back. In other words, the items they carry are ones that are factory and manufacturer left-overs.
There is nothing wrong with them. These are just items that did not show promise in stores and quantities are too much. The people at OVERSTOCK do have a good reputation of "QC'ing" quality control over their incoming product so I would not worry about that.
As for OVERSTOCK vs. I kinda chuckle at that because I know they both get their diamond product from the same suppliers My sister-in-law bought me a necklace from overstock. I was happy with it, but I think that she may have payed a little too much for it. Also, someone had recommended Bidz. The quality was seriously lacking on a silver chain that I had purchased from them.
I do not reccomend them at all.
Also, I really think that you should make a purchase that you can actually see and hold in your hand. Like you said, an engagement ring is something that has to be just right. Good luck and congradulations.
I have gotten a few things from Overstock. Never anything as expensive as an engagement ring though. I will say I was happy with all of my purchases.
